This cake was made for a soldier, and his three sons. He missed celebrating his birthday, as well as his sons birthday's while in Afghanistan. His wife asked me to make this cake for the four of them to help them celebrate, as he was able to be at home for a few weeks!

As you can see, the lighting in this room was not the best for photographing the cake. I had to deliver this cake the night before the event, and the room where it was to be displayed was in use. I had to set it all up in a very dark boardroom, thus the not so great photos. The flowers are also not on the cake, as the bride's florist was to provide them on the day of the wedding.
The bride selected dark grey fondant with dark grey and eggplant purple ribbon. The color choices were not traditional, but went beautifully with the wedding colors.Once I get the pictures from the actual wedding day, I will update this post.
